Clervie Ngounoue, the 17-year-old American, is an enormous Serena Williams fangirl. Recently, she completed a historic feat at Wimbledon Girls’ singles. She entered the tournament as the second seed and cruised past all her opponents in straight sets. The 17-year-old followed up her Wimbledon success with another monumental achievement now.

Recently, the USTA held a competition for girls competing at the junior level. The USTA Girls 18s National Championships represents the epitome of domestic junior tournaments hosted by the USTA. Clervie Ngounoue continued her fine run of form and reigned supreme in San Diego. By doing so, the teenager received a massive reward ahead of the US Open.
The USTA always presents the winner with a reward with which the champions can fulfill their dreams. A direct entry to the prestigious US Open as a wildcard. By claiming the title in San Diego, Clervie Ngounoue is set to make her Grand Slam main draw debut this month.

Ngounoue has been idolizing Serena since her childhood
When Ngounoue won the juniors’ championship at Wimbledon, plenty of American tennis icons acknowledged her. Zina Garrison, a former Wimbledon finalist and Ngounoue’s childhood coach took this as an opportunity to make staggering revelations. She revealed via her Twitter that the 17-year-old had looked up to Serena from a very young age.
