Musk has revealed that Twitter will temporarily limit the number of tweets users may read every day, with different limits for paid and unpaid users.
Many people supported the idea of charging for verified accounts. However, limiting the number of tweets a user can read has angered the Twitter community. Even Martina Navratilova, a tennis legend, has a significant presence on Twitter. The 59-time Grand Slam champion recently warned the Twitter CEO about his most recent choice after noticing this significant and unneeded shift.

The former world number one tennis player is quite active on social media, especially Twitter. For the past few months, she has raised her opinion regarding whether she is happy with the new Twitter changes coming into effect. In a similar vein, she recently raised her voice regarding a fresh change that was made by Musk, regarding the number of tweets a person reads daily.
The Czech-American tennis star took to her Twitter account to condemn his newest decision. She wrote, “Ha! Yup. Hit my limit today. He wants to pay up. Not going to happen. Musk will lose out with this rule in the long run.”

Along with that, she re-tweeted a tweet that talked about how the Twitter CEO has decided to take over Twitter, with his new changes. Well, the former tennis player warned the Twitter CEO that this change might bring the ultimate failure that nobody expected.
Nevertheless, it’s quite unclear how long the limits will last or if they are a permanent change to the social media app. In addition, verified accounts will be limited to reading 10,000 posts per day, while unverified ones will have access to only a thousand tweets a day.
However, this is not the first time the former world number one has raised questions over the Twitter CEO’s changes to the social media app. A few months ago, she bashed his decision to have a verified account, not with the number of tweets but with a proper payment system.

Nearly seven months prior, the 59-time Grand Slam champion voiced her concerns about the announcement that users who now have a verified blue checkmark on Twitter will have to pay a monthly fee for the blue tick. The billionaire CEO who shared this information stated that he wishes to empower the populace by dispensing blue takes for just $8.

In her response to Musk, the former world number one tennis player said that the verified blue checkmark simply appeared on her profile one day without her knowledge. Therefore, even if it means that it might remove her profile, she won’t be paying for it.
