There’s hardly anyone who isn’t excited for the much-anticipated Super Bowl LIX, slated to kick off on Sunday, February 9. While fans are waiting to lock in for the Philadelphia Eagles to square off against the Kansas City Chiefs, WTA legend Serena Williams has arrived at the Superdome in style. Meanwhile, her multimillionaire husband Alexis Ohanian is taking on daughter duties, seeing as he didn’t join his better half for a pre-event blast.
Williams took her official Instagram handle to add a chucklesome video of her roaming the stadium’s playing field. Known to be a fierce competitor and for her commanding on-court coverage, many would estimate that playing football would fall right up her alley. However, according to Williams, she ain’t cut for the American-based sport. “This is pretty dope. I am here at the Super Bowl, like, on the ground of the Superdome. It is pretty cool. Yeah, I think I can definitely not play football,” she said.
Later, she lapped the field just in case she didn’t get an opportunity to register any running points to her account in the coming days. “So, I decided that Yolo, ‘When is the next time I’ll be running on a field?’ I’m predicting like 60 seconds.” To much irony, her husband Ohanian also took a snapshot of their daughter Olympia running on the track rocking sportswear from his company, Athlos, to his IG profile. He added a snapshot of her running on the track. “@athlos training never stops,” he captioned the story.

The Reddit co-founder loves spending time with his two daughters, Olympia and Adira. Ohanian often posts adorable captures of his family for fans on social media and even supports her eldest daughter Olympia’s passion for Golf, months after she felt out of place trying her hand at tennis. As for Williams, post-retirement life is treating her quite well. She is all set for the Super Bowl, which will also feature 22-time Grammy Award winner Kendrick Lamar‘s much-awaited halftime show.
Apart from enduring a small health hiccup last year in October, where she revealed getting operated for a benign cyst in her neck, the 23-time Slam winner has always found time for her fans.

Serena Williams lends a powerful self-love message to her admirers
American superstar Serena Williams is all about self-love and mental wellbeing. A true movie script, having risen from rags to riches in the city of Compton, her poignant struggles need no rehearsal. However, the former World No. 1 makes sure that her fans never forget to embrace self-love by recognizing their beauty and worth.
“Before you go to bed tonight look yourself in the mirror and say ‘You are gorgeous. You are beautiful and you are loved.’ Love ya,” she said. On another occasion, in an interview with Wondermind in 2022, she stressed prioritizing mental fitness.

She said, “Mental fitness for me is just really learning to shut down. You know, I did this years ago, before mental health was a topic on everyone’s mind. It was just like: Alright, I’m shutting myself down today. Just subconsciously it was something I’ve always done.”
Williams last marked her appearance in tennis at the US Open last year, where she spectated her compatriots matches and later, engaged in lighthearted conversations with players like Coco Gauff, Taylor Fritz, and Frances Tiafoe.
