Serena Williams became a mom to Alexis Olympia Jr. in 2017. Although it must have been the most heartwarming moment of her life, Serena faced life-threatening challenges post-delivery.
Considering this, her return to the tennis world became doubtful. However, she came back the very next year and has played four Grand Slam finals since.
At 39, she is still passionately pursuing her next Grand Slam title. Along with that, she and her daughter Olympia have become one of the most adorable mother-daughter pairs of the sports world.
Serena has defied the impossible, both as an athlete and as a mother. Thus, she is grateful to spread the positive word to other moms out there.
“It’s amazing to be in this position where I have the opportunity to say to women that are moms – you can do it,” Serena said.
Currently, the four-time Olympic Gold medallist is in France with Olympia and husband Alexis Ohanian. The mother-daughter recently shared pictures of them twinning in Nike swimwear with their exclusive doll, Qai Qai.
Serena has even confessed that Olympia has helped her in many ways. Indeed, they are the perfect example for other moms who might be questioning themselves.
