The incident took place in 2018 when Williams caused controversy by wearing a catsuit during the French Open. Subsequently, on one of the episodes of Saturday Night Live, Megan Thee Stallion came to Williams’ rescue.

She said, “If we dress in fitted clothing, our curves become a topic of conversation not only on social media, but also in the workplace.” Further, she added that the criticism faced by the American legend was “proof positive of how misguided the obsession with Black women’s bodies is.”
