The tennis world recently dealt with a heavy blow when Simona Halep was found guilty after there was a contaminated substance found in her blood. Currently serving a 4-year ban from the sport, the Romanian international came ahead and appealed at the arbitration court regarding her ban from the sport. Her wish was eventually fulfilled after the court agreed to listen to her case in February.

However, still struggling to prove her worthiness, Halep, in a recent interview, came ahead and blamed her and Serena Williams‘ former coach Patrick Mouratoglou after it was found out that he came up with a substance that she shouldn’t have taken. However, as soon as the news went ahead, the fans did not hold their breath as they seemed to slam the Romanian player after what many believed was another lame excuse that she gave.

In a recent revelation, Simona Halep came ahead and suggested that her coach at that time Patrick Mouratoglou was the one who came up with ‘collagen‘ for her which was later found in her blood samples. Responding to this, the fans joined hands as they did not seem to hold their breath. One fan came ahead and suggested that it has been the case only with Halep and never with Serena Williams. “Serena Williams never had that problem!!!!” suggested the fan.

This fan came in and suggested that even before she joined hands with Patrick, her samples were a bit dubious. “Except the long report makes clear her samples were dubious way before she hired Patrick,” said the fan.

This fan then came ahead and suggested that her blood passport already had abnormalities that the supplements could not explain. He also mentioned that Halep has failed to address these issues.

Now, this fan did not seem to agree with Halep at all. The fan came ahead and suggested that Halep should have been aware of what she was consuming. He further added that it is sad to see people blaming others for their mistakes and not themselves.

Last but not least, this fan came in and suggested that she talked collagen for her nails and hair but wondered why Halep used collagen. She further added that there are even better sources of protein that she could’ve taken. “I take collagen for my hair and nails. What did she take it for? There are other much better protein sources,” said the fan.

Thus, Simona Halep had to go through a lot of backlash from the fans who did not spare even a minute in slamming the former champion when accused of guilty. While she came and suggested that it was her coach behind all this, fans believed that she had prior abnormalities in her blood that she hadn’t addressed.

Soon after the remarks made by Simona Halep made it live, Patrick Mouratoglou came ahead and issued his own statement regarding the accusations. He suggested that he take full responsibility for what had happened as she was under his guidance so it was him who would have brought the collagen to her.

“There is no way to know it, but I feel responsible for what happened because it’s my team, so me basically me, who brought her this collagen,” said Mouratoglou in the interview.
