Serena Williams’ Husband Reveals the ‘Idea’ He Wants to Protect His Daughters From -‘They Are Special, But..’

In the world of tennis, there is hardly anyone who has been in the limelight quite like Serena Williams. Just like her, her husband, Alexis Ohanian, who is also the co-founder of Reddit has also stayed in the limelight for all these years. But, unlike them, the children are not used to all these things. And so, sometimes, it can become troublesome for them.

Reflecting on the same, Alexis Ohanian in a recent interview, talked about the spotlight that his children receive and how he tries his best to protect them. Not only this, he also talked about how he wanted his children to create their own legacy and then come in front of the cameras.

In a recent revelation, Alexis Ohanian came ahead and talked about the challenges of raising kids in the spotlight. He shared his desire to shield his children from the idea that their worth comes solely from having famous parents. Ohanian believes it’s crucial for his kids to feel special for their own reasons, not just because of their celebrity status.

“I think it’s very weird to have parents who everyone knows,” says Alexis Ohanian. “The thing I know I wanted to shield them from was this idea that they are special just because of who their parents are. They are special, but for other reasons. Reasons of their own accounting and agency… This is one of those, ‘You’ve got to wait. Check back in 20 years’ things, but we’re trying.”

Thus, he talks about the importance of letting them build their own identity and accomplishments while separating from the limelight. Despite the difficulty in avoiding the ‘special‘ label attached to celebrity kids, he tries his best to keep them as far as he can from the light. Not only this but he looks ahead while inviting others to check back in 20 years to see the results of their parenting choices.

However, despite Ohanian trying to hide them from the limelight, it seems that his daughter Olympia has already started to create her own legacy.

Recently, Olympia Ohanian came ahead and signed a deal with Internet First Animation Studio. The deal is signed for the doll Qai Qai, which will be used in the upcoming music video. The video called ‘Daning on the moon’ will feature Qai Qai and will be a pure joy to watch.

Thus, despite Alexis Ohanian’s attempts to keep her daughter away from the limelight, it seems that she is already starting to create a legacy of her own. After inking a new deal, she has stepped into the business world and is following in the footsteps of her parents who are already successful in their respective fields.
