Serena Williams had recently confessed that her guilty-pleasure purchase item is property. But her new house in Florida doesn’t seem anything like an impulsive buy, but rather, is well thought out and executed.
A while ago, the tennis queen had given an extensive tour of her new house. She proudly presented her living-room-cum-art gallery, trophy cabinet, and her office. Following that, tennis fans expressed great admiration for her massive display of trophies.
However, according to husband Alexis Ohanian, she missed out on something special.

Alexis Ohanian shares Serena’s rookie card
After marrying Serena Williams in 2017, the Reddit co-founder became an avid fan of tennis. He is even often seen in the player’s box, cheering and supporting his wife.
Ohanian is also an active social media user and keeps posting videos with their daughter. Thus, when the trophy cabinet picked-up wind on the internet, he shared his favorite grail from Serena’s collection.
Interestingly, it’s neither the Wimbledon plate nor any of the other Grand Slam trophies. It was one of the rookie cards of the 23-time Grand Slam champion. Ohanian claimed that Serena has 100 such sets of cards, but his favourite one is her 2003 card.
“Y’all geeked out over the trophy room in our home, but @serenawilliams didn’t show you MY favorite grail in here. It’s from a 1 of 100 set of her rookie card,” Ohanian wrote with the picture.
Most recently, Ohanian was present throughout the Australian Open 2021 campaign where Serena ultimately lost to Naomi Osaka in the semi-finals match.
