TikTok is one of the best pastimes for Americans. Even a lot of tennis players, including Serena Williams and Coco Gauff, are active on the social media platform. But now that the House has passed a bill regarding the ban of TikTok, or the new venture that should come to the US with the social media app, it has created chaos all around the country.
Recently, the 20-year-old American tennis player, who spends most of her day either playing tennis or making TikToks, opened up about her thoughts on the same. But on the other hand, the 42-year-old American tennis legend’s husband, Alexis Ohanian, dished out a totally opposite perspective on the possible Tik-Tok ban in America.

Currently, the 20-year-old American tennis player has reached the semi-final round of the Indian Wells tournament. Just before that, in an interview with the tennis channel, she was asked about one of the biggest social changes that is about to take place in America regarding TikTok. The social media app will either get American ownership or will receive a popular ban, depending on the situation.
The Grand Slam champion jokes about how it will be difficult for her to spend the hours that she spends on TikTok if something like this happens. He was not against the ban, but at the same time, she also highlighted how it has given work to a lot of people around the country while joking about spending 6 hours on that app.
She stated, “I mean it would affect it a lot cuz considering I think I have like a lot of screen time on Tik Tok probably at least like 6 hours a day. If not more so I guess I’ll have to find something to do with the other six hours, I hope.”
The third-ranked tennis player shared his audience’s perspective on how it has been profitable for people in America. On the other hand, it was the 40-year-old American entrepreneur who shared the business side of the story, staging a totally different perspective than Gauff.

Recently, the Reddit co-founder took to his Instagram account, to share a video of what he was thinking regarding advocating for us against the Chinese social media company. He said, “The TikTok news is a little validating for me because I’ve been advocating for something to happen for the last three or four years. It’s a strategic threat to the United States, but more pragmatically, no American social media companies are allowed to operate in China, so as a matter of reciprocity why are we letting a Chinese-owned Social Media company operate in America.”

Along with that, he also highlighted that it is a strategic threat to the US because no American social media companies are allowed to operate in China, but the same cannot be said about Chinese companies in America. Not only that, he clearly highlighted how there are a lot of people who are ready to buy TikTok.
