Alexis Ohanian, the husband of 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams, is a renowned businessman and a wise investor. He has indulged his fortune in multiple ventures. Out of his recent investments, the most interesting and empowering one involves a football club.

Though Ohanian majorly shows interest in companies that deal with technologies and pose as an integral part of the coming generation. He also is a sports enthusiast. Therefore, sometimes he merges his love for games such as football with his profession. And his investment in the Los angles-based Angel City FC is one of those decisions.
Alexis Ohanian celebrates a successful trade
The football club was announced in the year 2020. Thereafter, in two years, the team became ready to compete in league tournaments. Currently, the team is competing in the NSWL challenge cup and a few days ago traded Sydney Leroux with Orlando Pride. Therefore, to welcome Leroux, Ohanian took on Instagram. And wrote, “Welcome to Angel City FC Sydney Leroux.”
In addition, the Orlando Pride has acquired a natural first-round pick in the 2024 NWSL Draft and $75,000 in Allocation Money from Angel City FC in exchange for the forward Leroux.
The Angel City FC identifies as a National women’s soccer league expansion team. Further, the team is the Los Angeles area’s first professional women’s soccer team since the 2010s’ Los Angeles sol. Apart from Ohanian, many other high-profile people such as Serena Williams, Natalie Portman, and Becky G have also invested in the club.

The 39-year-old traveled alongside his wife Serena Williams to England for her grass-based endeavors. There, he and the four-year-old Olympia cheered for the former World No.1 at the doubles of Eastbourne International first.
Meanwhile, he also looked for some Mercedes fan clubs to support his favorite racer Lewis Hamilton in the Canadian Grand Prix with fellow Hamilton fans. Following that, they entered Wimbledon’s center court to witness Williams’ play after almost a year.
