While watching various women’s college basketball teams compete at the event, the American internet entrepreneur has been elated to see female athletes dominating on social media. Speaking of it, the Reddit co-founder took a dig at the NCAA authorities for neglecting women players’ interests in the community.

Alexis Ohanian recently took to his Twitter to share his excitement over NCAA women’s basketball players surpassing men on various platforms. The American internet entrepreneur found out when a journalist brought to light the name of some college female athletes having more than 20,000 Instagram followers.

The Reddit co-founder retweeted the post while expressing his opinion on growing engagement in women’s NCAA Tournament. Ohanian, who has often commented on matters regarding equality, reiterated, “I’m getting bored of repeating this every single year, but here we go again. The free market of attention has already loudly picked the women of college basketball.”

While expressing his delight over the massive popularity of female college athletes on social media, Ohanian also slammed the tournament’s authorities. The NCAA officials previously drew a lot of criticism due to their disparities and substandard facilities in the weight room for women athletes.
Notably, Serena Williams’ husband said, “Facts over feelings, folks. @NCAA just needs to give support. The #WeightRoomFiasco is going to be viewed in hindsight as not just sexist, but also absolute business incompetence.”

Williams’ husband also promoted the interest of NWSL players
Apart from women’s basketball, Alexis Ohanian has ardently followed the National Women’s Soccer League. On top of that, the American entrepreneur is a proud owner of the renowned NWSL soccer club, Angel City FC as suggested by social media posts.
