First soccer. Tennis, and then, ballet. And now Golf. Olympia’s interests have been rapidly changing, but Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian do not mind at all. Thanks to their sports and entrepreneurial background, the couple is more than happy to let their firstborn explore and choose her hobbies, and if we are to go by Ohanian’s social media posts, he loves engaging in Olympia’s interests. When Olympia turned seven on September 1, the proud father couldn’t help but get a bit emotional. He made sure to make his daughter feel special as they spent the whole day together. The new update is that the father-daughter duo had an interesting golf session together.

Posing near a goal spot under a sunny bright sky, Ohanian looked happy and proud. On the other hand, dressed in a high-neck sleeveless pink top and white miniskirt, Williams’ baby girl looked absolutely adorable as she held a golf bat in style. The Reddit co-founder shared this image on his Instagram story, although could it be also a veiled attempt at some smart marketing gimmick? Just seven hours ago, Ohanian had another update for his followers, and Papa Ohanian couldn’t help but mention Tiger Woods!

Remember that one big announcement from June this year that saw an overhaul of golf’s landscape? The merger between the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and Saudi-backed LIV Golf into one unified commercial entity was announced on June 4 but it was shortly followed with the emergence of another player. The first-ever similar golf league developed by Tiger Woods, TGL, secured its first franchise named Los Angeles Golf Club (LAGC), spearheaded by Alexis-Serena entrepreneur couple and Venus Williams. So far, all we knew was that, following a failed launch this year, the TGL had set its eyes for launching just days after the new year (2025) with the first competition scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 7, and as such, the matches scheduled for the first three Tuesdays of January during ESPN’s busiest month of the year. In March when TGL renewed its launching date, there hasn’t been an update since. But with Ohanian’s update just hours ago, could it be that things are moving as planned? Looks like Ohanian just confirmed it. But wait, there’s more!

Interesting fact: Olympia is a proud founding investor in the TGL’s LAGC, sitting along Ohanian and the Williams sisters.

We guess the first Tuesday of the new year will see TGL’s first match wherein LAGC will go against some of the greatest from the golf world. Here’s what the roster looks like for now.

In April, Ohanian shared a video on his social media showing his elder daughter enjoying time on a golf course with her parents. He also shared a picture of Olympia as if she was ready to hit a shot on X. Hinting at his daughter’s talent, Ohanian wrote, “Y’all are not ready for her 😍 Golf is a family thing!!” Indeed!

In May too, sharing a picture of Olympia ready to take a shot, Alexis Ohanian boasted that golfing runs in their family. “Took @OlympiaoOhanian out for some practice. Y’all aren’t ready,” tweeted the Reddit co-founder.

While Ohanian enjoys Olympia’s love for golfing, he once cleared that he had no preoccupied wish about Olympia taking a specific sport.

Alexis Ohanian is happy for Olympia to pursue her choice of sport

Olympia was born under the spotlight with many expectations since her mother was the legendary Serena Williams. In fact, as per Williams’s own admission, she really wanted Olympia to play tennis, though soccer interested the kid more.

Following traditional trends, many are intrigued if Williams’ baby girl wishes to follow her mother’s path. However, Olympia has shown a growing interest in golf and her parents don’t mind it at all. In fact, when a follower asked Ohanian about it, the Reddit co-founder gladly revealed their satisfaction in allowing Olympia to pursue the sport she likes. “Whatever sports Jr wants to play! Here for it,” Ohanian replied to a follower. So, what interests does Olympia have?

Well, she loves ballet, soccer, and VR gaming. But hey, she is like her mother when it comes to fashion. “She’ll set up before bed what we need to wear in the morning. And she says, ‘Blue shirt, blue shirt, blue shirt.’ And then she goes, ‘Mama wear this or these shoes.’ She always tells me to [wear] heels,” Serena Williams shared with PEOPLE in 2020.

Now, even if the child doesn’t take up sports as a career later, she is already the co-owner of the women’s soccer team Angel City Football Club and the Los Angeles Golf Club. As Olympia gets older, she will get the opportunity to not just explore sports but the business aspects related to it. How awesome is that?
