Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian’s Athlos NYC event, held on September 26th, featured a remarkable gathering of top female track and field athletes. Marileidy Paulino, a champion of women’s sports, won the 400-meter race. Faith Kipyegon triumphed in the 1500 meters, while Gabby Thomas faced a loss against Brittany Brown in the 200-meter race. Even Ohanian’s daughter, Olympia, participated in the event, adding to the excitement. As usual, the proud dad couldn’t hold his emotions!

After the event, Ohanian shared some special glimpses from the event, which included a picture of Olympia running on the track with a smile. He shared a heartfelt note on the post, “She runs NY. Olympia had such a good time she asked to run the track at the end and I had to oblige…” But that’s not it!

Referring to how the winners of the event get a Tiffany crown, one fan wrote in the comments, “Give her a Tiffany tiara already.” To this, Ohanian firmly stated, “She gotta earn it.” And when another fan pointed out Ohanian’s daughter’s “athletic physique,” like her mother in the same post on Olympia’s Instagram, the proud father wrote, “Thankfully.” However, now Ohanian has landed on an interesting picture of Olympia posing with Thomas in the event (originally posted by the Olympic champion, Sanya Richard-Ross).

Re-sharing it on his Instagram story, he captioned, “How did I just now see this @olympiaohanian x @gabbythomas picture!?” Surprisingly, a few hours later, Thomas herself took to her social media and reposted Ohanian’s IG story.

Known primarily for her 200-meter prowess, Thomas is a versatile sprinter capable of excelling in various distances. She can step down to the 100, or up to the 400, with relative ease. She was the sole female athlete to compete in both relays at the Olympic finals. In a remarkable feat, she won gold medals in the 200-meter, 4×100-meter relay, and 4×400-meter relay within a five-day period, demonstrating her exceptional talent.

Moreover, Ohanian has previously expressed how he had a discussion with Williams about Olympia’s professional athletic endeavors. However, he recalled how Williams had a condition to his proposal, “Not until they pay her what she’s worth.” It seems Olympia’s interest in racing has already piqued and his father has to “oblige” with her requests!

Besides, Serena Williams’ husband added that her daughter having a “good time” at the event has made it even more special for him. He further shared a video of Olympia’s race with her cousin on X with the caption, “Jr insisted on racing her cousin… Papa had to oblige… @ATHLOS KIDS next???” In the video, Ohanian can be seen starting the stopwatch immediately as both Olympia and her cousin started the race.

In another glimpse of the event, he also shared Olympia’s excitement about meeting with Lupita Nyong, the Hollywood star. He wrote on X, “@OlympiaOhanian was SO excited to meet Roz from her favorite book (now movie) The Wild Robot.” With her family’s support and dedication, Olympia’s future in the sporting world indeed looks bright.
