There is a rise in the new talents emerging successfully in golf. Among them, Charlie Woods, Tiger Woods’ son, is making a big impression. In a recent tournament, he nailed a shot that drew praise from many, including his father’s friend, Serena Williams’ husband, and LAGC’s co-owner Alexis Ohanian. Impressed by Charlie’s skill, Ohanian shared a heartfelt compliment, expressing his pride in the young prodigy.

Legendary Tiger Woods’ teenage son showed remarkable skill at golfing recently. This talented boy followed in his father’s footsteps and started playing golf. And guess what? Just yesterday, he made his first home-in-one shot in the PNC Championship’s final round and surprised everyone with his skill. Although he performed great, Woods’ brilliant son couldn’t help their team earn the title, as Bernhard and Jason Langer defeated them in a playoff. Despite that, Charlie’s performance became the talk of the town, gaining compliments from many, including Los Angeles Golf Club’s co-owner and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.

Ohanian shared the epic shot taken by Charlie Woods on his IG story with a proud caption. “CHARLIE WOODS GETS HIS FIRST HOLE-IN-ONE AT THE PNC CHAMPIONSHIP. Things we love to see,” wrote Serena Williams’ husband, echoing heartfelt admiration and love for this young prodigy. He also shared Fore play’s video of Charlie Woods acing his shot on X and tweeted, “Feels good. Add Charlie’s hole in one… LFG”

Interestingly, Charlie Woods also seemed satisfied with the match. “It was awesome, No one made a mistake today, so that was some of the most fun I’ve ever had. On top of that, I made an ace. I don’t think I can top that,” he said, oozing confidence. His father, who believed he wasn’t in a complete state of the competition after his back surgery in September 2023, complimented his son’s performance. He also believed he and his son “made a great team this week.” 

For Woods, golf is more than just a sport but a lifestyle. Working alongside Mike Trout, a renowned baseball player, he designed a spectacular golf course; the praise it received from Ohanian underscored their deep friendship.

Earlier this month, Woods designed a new golf course following a new project Trout National. This reserve features a 7455-yard field with an 18-hole par 72  course in Trout’s hometown, New Jersey’s Vineland. Ohanian, delighted with the design, praised his friend Woods and tweeted, “So good.” Although brief, Ohanian’s comment highlighted how much he liked Woods’ effort to create a course that is not just gigantic but equally beautiful.

Moreover, when the golf legend trained on a virtual TGL stimulator, the Reddit co-founder sent him a motivational message warming the hearts of many. “Get those reps in, my friend! Season starts Jan 7, but @WeAreLAGC (Los Angeles Golf Club) goes against @TigerWoods+ @JupiterLinksGC (Jupiter Links Golf Club) on JAN 14 on ESPN/ESPN+,” he tweeted. Ohanian’s words had depth expressing his respect for Tiger Woods’ passion for golfing and his spirit.
