It was the year 2003. Top seed, Serena Williams had cruised to the semifinals of the French Open that year. In the semifinal clash, she was up against Justine Henin of Belgium. The semifinal encounter between them didn’t go in Serena’s favor as Henin clinched points at crucial junctures to win the match. However, an unusual incident occurred during that encounter.

Serena made a shocking revelation that Henin lied to get a point. As stated by the younger Williams sister, Henin raised her hand as a signal of not being ready while Serena was serving. Eventually, Serena hit the ball into the net. As the umpire didn’t see Henin’s signal, Serena’s first serve again wasn’t allowed. The incident created quite a controversy on social media. Recently, one of the Twitter users asked about a common lie said by tennis players.
