Over the last few years, Iga Swiatek has been dominating the tennis scene. With 2024 coming in just a few days, Swiatek will be one of the top contenders going into the majors. But, not everybody thinks this way. In a recent interview, Serena Williams‘ former Patrick Mouratoglou came ahead and talked about the return of Naomi Osaka while suggesting that both she and American sensation Coco Gauff would lead the way in 2024 while not considering Swiatek.

Soon after, the fans could not seem to control their emotions as they went ahead and slammed the former coach. While many supported Patrick, there were more who simply did not seem to align with the thought process of the coach.

The fans did not seem to get along very well with the remarks made by Patrick Mouratoglou. While his statements broke the net, the fans came up and could not seem to control their emotions. While some went ahead and lashed Mouratoglou, some spoke in his favor.

Out of the deck, one fan suggested that Iga Swiatek’s fans should not be insecure if they don’t add Iga to the list. Everyone has their own personal opinion and they are free to express it.

Another fan came in and suggested that Iga Switaek was the one who defeated both the stars in their last matches against her. “Yeah, and there is Iga, who bagelled both in their last matches,” suggested the fan.

This fan came in and suggested that Iga Switek is ready now to face her opponents next year and thrash them with dominating scorelines. “1GA bakery ready for another bagels and breadsticks …:)” suggested the fan.

Next, this fan came in and did not hold any words back and slammed Patrick Mouratoglou for not acknowledging the greatness of Iga Swiatek, who according to him was an actual WTA star. He further went ahead to add that since she does not come from a marketable country, she isn’t counted in the list.

“imagine ignoring and disrespecting like that THE ACTUAL wta stars of the last few years cause they don’t come from the “marketable” countries,” said the fan.

Last, but not least, this fan further went ahead to ask on what planet Patrick has been for the last two years since Swiatek has been highly dominant over the last two years and earned her status as the best in the world. “What planet has this man been on for the last 2 years? Unbelievable….” writes the fan.

Thus, Patrick Mouratoglou had to go through a lot of backlash from the fans as he did not seem to add Iga Swiatek to the list of best WTA superstars. His addition of Coco Gauff and Naomi Osaka added more fuel to the fire for the fans as Swiatek has clearly been dominant against the two.

That being said, coming into 2024, these three stars will have the highest expectations. But when facing against each other what do the past stats about the players say? What are Iga’s head-to-head record against the two players?

What are Iga’s head-to-head record against Gauff and Osaka?

Iga Swiatek has clearly been a rising star in tennis as her dominance on the tennis court speaks for itself. When it comes to the head-to-head stats, she clearly has been a dominant force over her opponents. The only win that Coco Gauff has managed to lay her hands on was at the semi-finals of the Cincinnati Masters. Apart from that she hasn’t managed to win any match against her. On the other hand, Iga’s head-to-head record against Naomi Osaka is even steven. Out of the two encounters that the players have had, both have emerged victorious on one occasion.

Their first meeting came back in 2019. A dominant Naomi Osaka managed to defeat Swiatek at the Canadian Open. However, 3 years later when the two met in 2022, Iga reigned supreme as she managed to defeat the Japanese player in straight sets to equal the head-to-head scoreline.
