The Queen of the Court, Serena Williams has long been a Swiftie. Her fangirl moment was evident when she attended a 2015 concert in London with Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, shaking a leg to Style. The former tennis ace is also a cultural icon, in her own right. However, this time, Williams’s influence might have hit closer home, as her amused husband hints.

Serena has a young daughter who follows Momma Smash’s every move. From twinning in matching outfits to sporting fashion-forward hairdos, Olympia often mirrors her mother. Noting the same, Alexis Sr gave a huge shout-out to his daughter on his social media account.

The 33-year-old singer is redefining the modern pop genre with her upbeat music. Now, Olympia Ohanian has taken a liking to the pop star’s burgeoning fandom. Her father, Alexis Ohanian, brought the development to light on Twitter.

With a tone of light-hearted resignation, Papa Ohanian updated his Twitter followers on the latest news of his daughter’s exploits. He said, “Well, Jr has discovered @taylorswift13 — GG.” Considering the links between Swift and Williams, it was only a matter of time before the inevitable happened!

Now that Olympia has finally discovered Swift, she might also come across a family Easter egg in a song. One of Swift’s tracks features an ingenious reference to her tennis star mother, Serena Williams.

The music video for the song in question portrayed one of the most contentious incidents on the tennis court involving the former Wimbledon champion. Do you know which one it was?

The former tennis ace’s championship match in the 2018 US Open attracted a lot of controversies due to heated arguments with the chair umpire. After officials accused her of receiving illegal hand signals from her former coach, the Queen of the Court went over, pointed, and shouted at them.

A similar on-court outburst scene was featured in the music video of Swift’s track titled, The Man. The song pointedly addresses the issues of gender inequality and sexism. The possibility of Swift deliberately referencing the tennis legend’s infamous spat became hailed as an instance of “Queens supporting Queens” or women fighting double standards.
