On Wednesday, the 36-year-old was recognized for his contributions to the entertainment industry in a ceremony that took place in front of Funko Hollywood on Hollywood Boulevard. And who else but Serena Williams makes it a point to congratulate the hard-working and talented star?

Soon after Jordan won the award, Serena took to her Instagram to share the news of his success with her fans and followers. From what her caption reads, she is loving the news of his achievement and couldn’t wait to talk about it. While several other celebrities have also congratulated Jordan on the big achievement, Serena’s wishes stand out as Jordan’s partner in his recent philanthropic ventures.

Serena Williams re-posted from the feed of Donatella Versace where she showered Jordan with compliments. The post caption reads, “@michaelbjordan, what an incredible achievement receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!” Donna then goes on to talk about the dapper blue suit Jordan is wearing in the picture and says, “Congratulations!! You look amazing 💙”

Serena reposted this sweet caption and picture on her Instagram story with a comment of her own. She sends her congratulations and love to Michael B. Jordan with a short message that reads, “Well deserved”.

The fact that Serena was also present during the premiere of the latest installment of the movie Creed is a testament to her support towards Jordan.

$1 million towards a great cause

In 2021, Michael B Jordan and Serena Williams joined hands for a $1 million startup investment aimed at giving a voice to black entrepreneurs and business ideas.

In a world where less than 2% of the total venture capital goes towards business ideas from people of color, this move from Serena, Jordan, and MacVentures comes as no less than a philanthropic venture.
