Be it on the court or off-the-court, and consequently, the 23-time Grand Slam champion has been involved in many controversies, including the one at the US Open finals against Naomi Osaka. Moreover, it wasn’t just Williams, but also her then-coach, Mouratoglou, who had coached her to 10 Major final wins. The duo has always stood up for what they felt justified.
And recently, the Queen of the Court’s ex-coach came out in support of the tech tycoon, Elon Musk; for his address at the World Government Summit. What made the world-renowned tennis coach side with the SpaceX owner?
Serena Williams’ ex-coach supports Tesla’s co-founder

As the World Government Summit concluded, in Dubai, the SpaceX co-founder was one of the highlights of Dubai; where over 150 governments and global leaders marked their presence. The Twitter owner was asked to highlight the efficient use of Twitter by the government in serving their citizens. And the Twitter owner responded by pointing out the importance of speech. And that the legislators and CEOs should not shy away from using their voices to convey their message directly.
Moreover, the SpaceX founder was quick to share his address on his Tweet handle; emphasizing on the importance of authentic speech, he captioned the post with just one word, “absolutely.”

Subsequently, post the Tesla founder Tweeting his message in front of over 150 governments, Mouratoglou, supported Musk’s views; as he retweeted the video.
Certainly, the Tesla founder and the World famous tennis coach are in support of exercising their First Amendment rights. Moreover, the 23-time Grand Slam champion’s coach has been upfront with his thoughts. And a few times, it has resulted in the coach receiving backlash from tennis fans! However, most of the time, he has defended and supported the upcoming tennis stars; particularly when it mattered the most.
The infamous Pam Shriver comment at the US Open finalist, Elena Rybakina’s coach, drew flak from Mouratoglou. He defended the Croatian coach by simultaneously supporting the Wimbledon champion’s strong stance towards the claims made by Shriver.
