Upset at the fiasco, she expressed disappointment for the ordeal right before her First Round match, which she lost to compatriot Madison Keys.

Having said that, this wasn’t the first time Venus Williams had a light-hearted take on the airline fiasco. A couple of days back, she took a similar jibe at the incident involving her Janet Jackson T-shirt.

As Venus Williams was left stranded without her luggage upon arrival in Montreal, she found herself with only one T-shirt – a Janet Jackson one. Moreover, she couldn’t even have access to her tennis equipment since those were also part of her misplaced luggage. Williams chose to show off her Janet Jackson shirt as she posted a picture of herself wearing the same on her Instagram story while taking a sarcastic jibe at the entire situation. “Me when I only had my Janet Jackson shirt to wear bc the airline sent my bag to the Caribbean. Walking my dog and laying in the grass and dreaming about when me and my bag would be together again”, she wrote.
