In a tweet, Ohanian revealed what he thinks of AI in an era where human intelligence feels increasingly threatened.
Alexis Ohanian is a renowned internet entrepreneur who played a crucial role in revolutionizing social media by co-founding the microblogging site, Reddit. Although he stepped away from its board of directors, Ohanian actively gives his opinions about the latest development in the tech sector.

AI adoption will add value to human stories, claims Serena Williams’ husband
ChatGPT can generate both long-form and short-form written content in a matter of moments based on users’ queries. In the world of content, it is proving to be a game-changer, as writers are increasingly adopting it for greater efficiency.

However, this is leading to a situation where content quantity is taking precedence over quality. In his tweet, Ohanian referred to this as a “tsunami of A.I. for content creation & storytelling”. He went on to write that it “will only make the most HUMAN of stories *more* valuable”.

According to Ohanian’s prediction, primarily AI-generated content is likely to be “commoditized” in the future. For content creators worried about the potential impact of AI on their livelihoods, Ohanian’s prediction is sure to come as a relief.

Will Ohanian’s opinion on AI be enough to relieve tension?
Ohanian’s love for technology shaped much of his life and made him the successful entrepreneur and investor he is today. However, going by his tweet, it’s clear that he values human-generated content far more than AI-generated content.

Despite Serena’s husband’s optimistic prediction, the fact is that there’s still a lot of tension surrounding ChatGPT adoption. Professionals in the content industry are especially worried about ChatGPT taking over their jobs. ChatGPT’s success so far is also pushing the likes of Meta and Google to offer their own AI solutions.

To limit ChatGPT adoption, several institutions of repute have taken bold steps. For instance, the University of Hong Kong banned ChatGPT use completely in February. Only time will tell if Ohanian’s prediction comes true and makes humans the winners in the battle against AI.
