Serena Williams’ Daughter Olympia Melts Father Alexis Ohanian With a Special Gift on His Reddit Milestone

Recently, the American social news site, Reddit which is best known for hosting forums for netizens to have discussions and vote on content, received a warm welcome on Wall Street. The 18-year-old company’s shares closed 48% higher on the company’s day of trading on the New York Stock Exchange. It is, in fact, one of the biggest ever IPOs (Initial Public Offerings) by a social media platform. And a record of such magnitude deserves a celebration, right?

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian (co-founder of Reddit) recently made an IPO cake for her dad’s Reddit milestone. Ohanian shared pictures of that beautiful cake made by her daughter on social media. Let’s have a look at it.

Serena Williams’ daughter gifts an IPO cake to her father for reaching an incredible milestone

On the immense success of Reddit IPO, Olympia seems to be busy making an IPO cake for his daddy, layered with ‘Hershey’s Milk & Chocolate’ with a tutti frutti base. It had sprinkles and several red heart-shaped creams on top of the chocolaty layer. Alexis Ohanian shared the picture of the cake on his Instagram Stories and wrote, “Olympia Ohanian made me an IPO cake.“

Reddit has become one of the most popular websites in the world having more than 73 million users as per several reports from the end of December 2023. They have priced its IPO on Wednesday at $34 a share, the top of the expected range. Both Reddit and selling shareholders raised about $750 M from the offering, with the company collecting about $519 M. Alexis Ohanian recently expressed his emotions and wrote, “We did it, mom.” $RDDT IPO” while announcing on social media.

Serena Williams’ little daughter loves baking. Her parents have shared several glimpses of her baking skills while making various delicacies for her father including artistic pancakes. Recently Serena Williams also congratulated her husband with an emotional post for his historic achievement. 

She shared his long journey in a few words on social media. “In 2005 @alexisohanian had an idea to start an online community. That idea became Reddit and today is its IPO. Alexis I am so proud of you as a businessman, My man and a dad. Congrats on your IPO! It’s crazy to know you have even bigger things you are doing !, ” Serena Williams.

Alexis Ohanian thanked everyone for their messages and efforts to congratulate him on his company’s recent achievement. He took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Appreciate all of y’all reaching out. Grateful. So many people did the real work to get Reddit to this tremendous moment. I’ve told my comms team to turn down all the tons of inbound press requests (and y’all know I love doing press lol) bc this wasn’t my moment, it’s this team’s.“

He further added, “But thanks to all who acknowledged me. I’ve got much more to do. And in 6 months, more dry powder for @776foundation! And beyond!” Then he went to reveal the gift she got from his wife Serena Williams on this historic day. He gave a bit of teaser and added, “More to be announced from @SevenSevenSix in the next few months… but for now, here’s an amazing homemade IPO-pie my wife just pulled out of the oven for me — even here on vacation! Stay winning, my friends.“

Olympia had even made an amazing homemade cake on her parent’s 5th anniversary. Serena Williams and her husband have time and again spoken about her love for baking.
