Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian often share updates and juicy anecdotes about their lives with their fans on social media. In fact,  Ohanian recently revealed why the couple chose to get married in New Orleans in 2017. We also saw them on a date night during the French Open, however, this time they decided to indulge in a slightly different kind of date you would usually associate with such names.

The 42-year-old legendary tennis player took to her Instagram and shared the photos from a date with her husband Ohanian at a Mexican-themed restaurant. Williams wore a sleeveless white outfit and the Reddit cofounder donned a blue blazer.

In the pictures, Williams is posing stylishly with her arm resting over her husband’s shoulder in a couple of clicks. Ohanian, on the other hand, is straight-faced in the Instagram post.

Williams also expressed her excitement about the date as the couple took time off of their busy schedules. Captioning the post, the former player wrote, “Date night snack? Yes please @alexisohanian.”  It is not common for celebs like Serena Williams and Ohanian to be out on a snack date. This was evident when Ohanian shared glimpses of their date night during the French Open when they were on vacation.

From interesting food combinations to lip-smacking desserts Ohanian’s social media post screamed about a night to remember for the duo.  “FANTASTIC date night with @serenawilliams  I thoroughly enjoyed your hidden kitchen for ants. MERCI @jeanimbert+ @Plaza_Athenee,” he wrote on X.

The celebrity couple also went on an extravagant date night at Champagne Telmont as Ohanian posted a photo of the champagne bottle in his Instagram stories with Serena sipping from the glass in the background. Serena and Ohanian’s adventures in Paris didn’t end there as there was some drama on the way as well.

Williams on August 5 tweeted that the Parisian restaurant The Peninsula Paris allegedly denied her and her kids—Olympia Ohanian and Adira Ohanian, 12 months—access to dine while she was in France for the 2024 Olympic games. However, the restaurant later apologized and clarified that their rooftop bar was fully booked and “the only unoccupied tables you saw belonged to our gourmet restaurant, L’Oiseau Blanc.”

As we can see there is some degree of difference between those dates and their most recent one, but it seems for Williams and Ohanian the company of each other is what matters the most. The date at the Mexican-theme hotel was out of the norm and showcases that the couple is more concerned about being in each other’s company than anything else.

Well, apart from giving updates on what they are up to, the couple often provide their fans on social media with interesting bits of personal information as well.

In a post on X on September 16, Ohanian revealed why they decided to get married in New Orleans back in November 2017. He wrote, “When people ask why I wanted to get married in New Orleans — it’s the only city in the world with on-demand parades. Folks know how to celebrate.” The wedding at the Contemporary Arts Center was a star-studded affair that names such as Beyonce, Jay-Z, Eva Longoria, and Kim Kardashian.

Both Ohanian and Serena have been on each other’s side since then and the entrepreneur once revealed how Serena has been a positive influence in his life.

They are also blessed with two beautiful daughters Olympia and Adira and despite the long time that they have spent together; they have continued to express how important they are to each other. Ohanian resonated with similar sentiments in a candid interaction and revealed how Williams helped him overcome certain challenges in his life.

The Reddit co-founder revealed his negative traits during his young age and said, “It’s like a lot of things, it’s about discipline and routine. In my 20s, I was a first-time CEO, right out of college. I squandered so many hours because I didn’t appreciate the routine and the discipline because I was my own boss.” However, he was able to figure out a lot about himself and his life due to Williams.

“It didn’t hurt that my wife has lived an incredibly regimented life since she was a little kid, so she’s been an amazing influence and you just find a way to make it work.” For now, the fans would wait for the next exciting update the adorable couple will drop next.
