But Serena Williams is a huge enough fan of the punk rock group and favors the deep-cut songs of the band and loves “Disappearing Boy.” During an online interview in 2021, Billie Joe Armstrong opened up about how Williams always wanted him to play this song during the band’s gig.

“I think she would literally try to see how fast she could beat her opponent so she could actually come to the gig. She would end up showing up, and she would always ask for us to play the song Disappearing Boy,” Armstrong said.
