The 23-time Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams, is currently in New York, as she is getting ready to play the last tournament of her magnificent career. Before playing her first match, she recently visited the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), where her venture capital firm, Serena Ventures, made headlines.

Notably, earlier, Serena’s venture capital firm raised around $111 million to help new entrepreneurs with the platform to apply their innovative ideas. Now, she attended the NYSE to take a big step toward her new future after tennis.

Serena Williams attends NYSE for a great honor

Earlier, the 6-time US Open champion, Serena Williams, posted a series of posts and stories on her official Instagram handle, showing her precious time in the NYSE. Her partner in Serena Ventures and good friend Alison Rapaport Stillman also joined her there.

“What an incredible experience ringing the bell at @nyse with @ali_jo_rap_stillman on behalf of @serena.ventures !! Thank you, New York! I love you!!” Serena posted on Instagram

In another post, she wrote, What a great day for @serena.ventures at @nyse… It was incredible to see the room filled with photos of our founders showcasing our diversity.

The NYSE president, Lynn Martin, welcomed both of them. Then, Serena received the great honor to ring the bell at NYSE, which was an iconic moment for legendary American. Later, Serena signed a few books, with plenty of fans standing in a queue to get her autograph. It is worth noting that Serena has been working on her various investments during her time off the tour.

Apart from Serena Ventures, she has also invested in various cryptocurrencies, as she was planning for her future. Moreover, she already has her clothing and jewelry brand.

Serena had a tough draw at the US Open 2022

Despite her visit to the NYSE, she has been working really hard on her fitness, as she will play the US Open very soon. Recently, she had a practice session at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, where she played with the Tunisian player Ons Jabeur.

On Monday night, Serena will face Danka Kovinic, which will be a tough match. Also, this could be her last match at the US Open and in her career. However, fans are pretty optimistic that the American tennis player will go far in the tournament.

If Serena wins her first match, she could face the world no.2 Anett Kontaveit in the second round. Apart from that, Simona Halep and Coco Gauff also fall in the same half as Serena. Safe to say, it will be tough for the 23-time Grand Slam champion to go far in the competition.
