Coco Gauff has once again etched her name into tennis history, marking her as one of the sport’s most promising young talents. After her superb run of form, Coco Gauff has earned her place in the WTA Finals this year which will be held in Mexico.

This rising American star not only earned her place among the elite in singles but also in the doubles category, making her a dual threat at the upcoming WTA Finals in Cancun, Mexico. She will be pairing up with her doubles partner Jessica Pegula at the event. The pair of Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula is one of the most deadly duo in the doubles at the moment.

As she prepares to take on the world’s best, Gauff seeks to improve upon her previous showing at the WTA Finals, where she faced formidable opposition and exited the tournament during the Round Robin stage without securing a single set in all three matches.

With her inclusion into the WTA finals, she joined the likes of Maria Sharapova, who accomplished back-to-back WTA Finals qualifications in 2005 and 2006, Coco Gauff aspires to leave a mark on the tennis world. Thus, this is a remarkable feat achieved by the young American gun who looks to keep her form going.

What made Gauff’s inclusion into the finals even more special was the fact that Coco Gauff became only the fourth teenager in the history of tennis to have featured in consecutive WTA finals. As already mentioned, the last time anyone did this was Maria Sharapova herself who managed to do it in the year 2005-06.

The other two players who have achieved the feat are Jelena Dokic back in the year 2001-02 and Kim Clijsters, who did it back in 2000-02. Thus, Coco Gauff will be going into the tournament as a favorite yet again as she went back in the US Open.

With the tournament about to start in a few days’ time, all the players would be preparing themselves to give their best and clinch the title. While all hopes lie on Gauff, it will be interesting to see if she can overturn the drastic performance that she gave last year and maintain her red-hot form.
