The Canadian tennis ace Bianca Andreescu made a comeback to the tour after suffering from a series of issues. First, she struggled with a knee injury. Following that, she faced problems with her mental health.
However, after keeping out of professional tennis for almost six months, Andreescu picked her game back in the clay-court season.

Currently, the former World No.4 is participating in the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. On Tuesday she played her first match of the grass-based Grand Slam and performed brilliantly. However, a majority of Andreescu’s fans in her homeland could not watch her thrash her first opponent because of the broadcasting channels not giving preference to her match.
Therefore, an irked Andreescu wrote, “Sad to see Canadian fans tweeting about not being able to watch most of my first round match at Wimbledon. On TV or the app.”

Thereafter she added, “No problem for Denis or Felix tho TSN, TSN Tennis?” The former World No.10 Denis Shapovalov and the current World No.9 Felix Auger-Aliassime also play under the Canadian flag and had their first round matches on the same day as Andreescu.
The 2019 US Open champion locked horns with the American tennis ace Emina Bektas and took an easy win of 6-1, 6-3. She will meet the former World No.12 Elena Rybakina in the second round of the major on Thursday, 30th June.

The former world number 4 started her journey in the grass swing from Berlin. In the WTA 500 event, after winning a three set first round match, she locked horns with the former World No.1 Karolina Pliskova.
Although Andreescu dragged the match till the third set by reviving herself in second, she lost her ticket to the round of 32 by a scoreline of 4-6, 6-2, 6-7(7). Following that, she had a semifinal run in the doubles category and moved to the Bad Homburg Open.

In the WTA 250 event, she defeated every opponent of hers in straight sets. And after the former World No.1 and two times Grand Slam champion Simona Halep walked out of the tournament in semifinals, she met Caroline Garcia. Garcia, who like Andreescu, has held the ranking of World No.4 outclassed her three sets of 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4 to claim the title.
