Martina Navratilova is enjoying the last Grand Slam of the season just like every other fan. Recently, the Czech-American took some time off her busy schedule so that she can get the best experience of the ongoing tournament.

Navratilova booked herself a ticket to be a part of, and enjoy the atmosphere around the opening rounds. And the decision panned out really well for her. As fate rewarded her with a little something.
The biggest coincidence
The 18 times Grand Slam champion when arrived at the US Open’s stadium received a pleasant surprise. She was offered a seat alongside one of the greatest boxers of all time, Mike Tyson. Though as many believed that the two legends who happen to know each other really well planned it. Navratilova felt obliged to reveal the details of the sheer coincidental moment. She wrote, “I have known Mike for a long time, but the seating was random.”

“I just sat where they told me to.” She added. Speaking of the US Open, the 36 majors titlist in her playing days claimed four singles and nine doubles trophy from the tournament.
Her last win came against the 22 times Grand Slam champion Stefi Graff. She successfully defended her title in 1987 by defeating the German in straight sets of 7-6 (4) 6-1.

What is Martina Navratilova up to?
The nine times Wimbledon champion, after retiring from the sport and getting inducted in the Tennis Hall Of Fame, decided to invest her energy and knowledge in a variety of things.

She obviously maintained her bond with the sport by taking broadcasting and analytical jobs. However, apart from that, the former World no.1 also increased her presence in activities that focus on the betterment of society.
