Dramatic scenes at the 2025 Australian Open! ‘Danimal’ is in action at the Show Court Arena for her second-round match against Australia’s Destanee Aiava. The American took the first set by 7-6(4). However, in the second set, Aiava has been giving her a tough fight, and amid all this fans recently witnessed a bizarre scene. What’s it, though? Well, nothing special! Danielle Collins doing what she does best!

Insane drama at the KIA Arena, Danielle Collins was seen mocking the Aussie fans after clinching her first set against Destanee Aiava. She even blew a kiss to the crowd from her seat during the changeover. Apart from that, her dramatic gestures caused a massive roar inside the stadium. Collins became visibly frustrated in various instances in this match.

Even before serving early in the second set, she yelled at a spectator saying, “Shut up“. After that, the chain umpire had to intervene to lower the decibels at the KIA Arena. However, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Collins in this type of situation, though. She’s known for her fiery nature on the court and at times not only the players, but even the fans can feel that heat!

Last year, we witnessed several moments featuring this 31-year-old American tennis star. In March 2024, we saw her sarcastically blowing a kiss towards a hostile crowd in Miami. Then a month later, we witnessed a series of outbursts during her campaign at the Madrid Open. During her match against Romania’s Jaqueline Cristian, she was seen shutting down a heckler by saying, “You come out in here and play, you do what I do, okay? Have a little more respect.

Not only that, she was seen losing her cool even during her fourth-round match against Aryna Sabalenka. Danielle Collins claimed that she was distracted by a spectator’s loud call during the rally. She was seen looking up in disbelief and then turned towards the crowd to yell, “What was that?” A similar incident happened during the Italian Open as well. During that time, the Italian crowd was seen cheering her errors. After hearing all this, she even confronted the fans by shouting, “What? What?” Even during the Monterrey Open, she vented out her anger following several interruptions from a group of fans.

From 2024, we’ve now moved into 2025 and Danielle Collins is still the same! A pure entertainer in every way. However, the AO crowd has also been making the headlines in 2025 for various reasons. Recently, we even witnessed some unusual scenes featuring Felix Auger-Aliassime’s match against Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. What really happened in that match, though?

Not only Danielle Collins, but the Australian Open’s ‘rowdy fans’ have caused a few troubles for other players as well in 2025

Recently, we saw Felix Auger-Aliassime’s second-round match against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina getting shifted from Court 8 to Court 7. Reason? Well, according to multiple reports, the main reason behind this bizarre call was the excessive noise that was coming in from the adjacent Court 6. In Court 6, Arthur Cazaux was then taking on Jacob Fearnley, and guess what? The atmosphere was just like a Davis Cup tie, with some passionate fans from both France and Britain making their presence felt vocally.

Then not only Danielle Collins but even Fearnley has now learned about what it’s like facing an Aussie on Australian soil. In his first-round match, the Brit defeated the home favorite Nick Krgios in straight sets. Kyrgios was making a return to his ‘Home Slam’ after a long long time and so the crowd was right behind him from the start of the match. Fans were even seen celebrating Fearnley’s mistakes during the match. They were right in his eyes and the atmosphere was quite insane during that match.

Later on, while speaking on this, Jacob Fearnley said, “I felt that the crowd was just going to eat that alive…I couldn’t hear anything. Especially in between first and second serves, it was quite difficult, to be honest.” Apart from Danielle Collins, Jacob Fearnley, even Botic Van de Zandschulp had to face a similar situation during his match against Australia’s Alex de Minaur.

In that match, a fan was seen shouting, “I love you Demon,” right at the moment when Zandschulp began his service motion. It was quite a vital moment in that match, and later on the chair umpire had to intervene and showcase her annoyance to the crowd on the same incident. Now the question is can the Aussie fans help Destanee Aiava upset Danielle Colins in the second round of the 2025 AO? Share your thoughts in the comment box.
