Little did the world know that it would be one of the highest-viewed matches in the history of ESPN. The reason? It was ReRe’s last match. She did not win the match, but people did not care. The crowd erupted in deafening cheers as the former number one said her goodbyes.

Nostalgia hit hard as the comeback match of the elder sister in the Rothesay classic is similar to the retirement match of ReRe. The only difference is Queen Vee won this time, and the retired legend saw herself in her sister, which she expressed through an Instagram comment.

Venus Williams is on the court!
Venus won her first round of the Rothesay classic against Camila Giorgi. She proved that her mettle, fitness, and confidence are back on the grass court. She did not bow down despite the opponent’s tactics and registered a 7-6(5), 4-6, 7-6(6) win in a match that lasted for more than three hours.
This victory called for a celebration, and Queen Vee expressed her joy through an Instagram post. She mentioned that this win made her more hungry, and that she was excited to do more. Sharing her sister’s joy, Momma Smash commented on her post that she (Serena Williams) looked good in the match and that she was proud of her sister.
The twenty-three times Grand Slam winner commented, “I look great!!! So proud of my sis.” to her sister’s post captioned, “3 hours and 16 mins later it?s a win ?. This just makes me hungrier. Let?s do it again ???.”

Fans were thrilled to watch the 43-year-old on the court as it brought back the memories of her sister’s play.
