“I figured I was destined to have girls, and there’s a part of me that just knew—and it’s awesome to be a girl dad,” Alexis Ohanian once said. The Reddit co-founder is deeply dedicated to the well-being and upbringing of his children – Olympia (7) and Adira (1). He’s often seen engaging with his daughters through multiple fun activities, be it playing golf, video games, or making pancakes for a delicious Sunday breakfast. The “best dad” loves spending time with her daughters. However, recently, he had to apologize to his younger daughter after she got snubbed in a fun action-figure representation alongside Olympia.

On March 30, the social infrastructure startup Intro came up with a sneak peek of Alexis Ohanian’s superhero-esque action figure. And Ohanian wanted to buy it for an interesting reason. “I’d get this for my daughters, knowing they would never play with it, but just for the reaction when they see their dad as a little action figure. lol. Please make these IRL,” the 41-year-old wrote on X.

Being a tech entrepreneur, Ohanian is no stranger to technology, and he has always embraced innovation. From using AI to enhance his fitness motivation to crafting bedtime stories for his daughters, he has found multiple creative ways to integrate AI into his life.

Last month, he had used ChatGPT to get a full assessment of his personality, and ChatGPT had nailed it! However, this time, he got his action figure from the AI via Intro. Although it made a perfect representation of him alongside his elder daughter, Olympia, his younger daughter seemed to be the missing piece from the puzzle. Hence, Ohanian had to step in to issue an apology to the toddler. He came up with an IG post highlighting the action figures with the caption, “My action figure, according to ChatGPT. Nice. I apparently don’t talk to the AI enough about @adiraohanian — I’m sorry, DeeDee.”

Keeping his two daughters happy is quite a challenge for Ohanian, but what is the favorite aspect of being a father, according to him? Well, in December 2024, he hosted a Q&A session on IG where a user asked him about his favorite part of being a “girl dad“.

Responding to that, he said, “My favorite part of being a girl dad is that I get to learn all these wonderful, unique, different things that make my little girls, little girls. And I grew up with sisters, I am obviously a dude, and I am a very proud girl dad.”

Continuing further, he added, “Because they are just, they are different, and its awesome. I feel like I am always learning something new. And they are so sweet, very nicer, very kinder than I was at their age that’s for sure. And it only gets better.” Since he mentioned both of his daughters are a bit “different,” how is the bonding between the two sisters?

Alexis Ohanian sheds light on how Adira brings out “maternal spirit” in Olympia

Both Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian have previously talked about the unique camaraderie between Olympia and Adira through their social media posts. Ohanian once shared an intriguing detail about his elder daughter Olympia’s quirky attitude through a post on X. He wrote, “She did! Brought this on herself. TBH Deedee is the one who gets jealous more often.” Well, there was an instance when he shared a picture on IG with his two daughters and revealed how he had to carry both of his daughters upstairs to avoid upsetting the elder one. “Uppy^2 (Or else someone gets jealous),” he wrote.

Olympia, however, “LOVES being a big sister.” Serena Williams once spoke about how her elder daughter “prayed for a sister” when she came to know about her mother’s pregnancy. Even Ohanian once admitted that Olympia is a “great big sister.”

In May 2024, during an interview with PEOPLE, Ohanian spoke about Olympia’s incredible bonding with Adira. He said, “She’s able to have a lot more fun with her sister in terms of playing. You can already see the interactions between them. It’s a big age gap, and Olympia has a little bit of that maternal spirit. She’s like, ‘This is my baby,’ and it’s great to see them together. They play and sort, wrestle and all that.

“We’re very lucky because Adira’s got a great personality and Olympia does too, plus she’s so excited to be a big sis. So seeing the two of them interact with each other has been a special kind of fun. Adira’s getting more mobile and more vocal, and it’s only going to get even more fun,” he further added.

According to Ohanian, the two sisters may get engaged in fighting over things at some point, but for now, it’s all “bliss.” Last month, he even expressed his joy after Olympia made pancakes for her younger sister, Adira.
