Naomi Osaka revealed her feelings after an unfortunate exit from the ongoing Abu Dhabi Open 2024. Osaka was defeated by the world’s number seven tennis player, Danielle Collins. This defeat brought Japan’s Naomi Osaka another setback after her return to the professional field. Now this tennis star finally poured her out to her fans.

Osaka returned to court after a year of motherhood journey. However, her debut tournament after motherhood, Australian Open 2024 also didn’t work in her favor. Now that Osaka suffered another setback, she spoke about her feelings to the fans.

Naomi Osaka feels like a “failure” after her quick exit from the ongoing Abu Dhabi Open

Recently, a tennis source shared on their X (formerly Twitter) that when asked about her feelings after the match, Osaka sounded disappointed. Sharing the Japanese tennis star’s bits, this source added- “Asked Naomi Osaka how she felt after her singles match today: ‘I say some pretty harsh words about myself. I know the word, but if I say it, it sounds really bad. I felt a little like a ‘failure’, but I don’t want to be too harsh.'” Naomi Osaka expressed true disappointment over her loss against Collins in the qualifier round of the Abu Dhabi Open.

Osaka further added to her statement- “I’m less confident but I’m not too unconfident to think that I can’t play really good tennis, I really think I just need to get through a really tough match and then sort of acknowledge that that’s going to happen quite a couple of times.”

Given that Naomi Osaka is a four-time Grand Slam champion, her fans surely didn’t expect her to exit so early from both the Australian Open and Abu Dhabi Open this season. However, she still has more time to come back and show her skills to the fans once more.

Osaka brought a lot of hope among fans by sharing a positive attitude when she landed in Abu Dhabi

This Japanese tennis star truly fuelled fans’ excitement by dropping happy images when she landed in the city. On her official Instagram account, Osaka dropped a set of photos wearing a gorgeous dress and taking a troll of the city. Sharing her pictures, Osaka wrote- “jet lag is making life a blur.” Among those images, she also shared a screenshot, where fans spotted an unknown person texting Osaka by saying- “saw you in my dream.” 

Osaka responded to this message showing a burst of confidence. She commented back- “was my fit hard? then it wasn’t me.” After this, her fans were truly keeping faith in her performance.

Naomi Osaka’s statement revealed that she was truly disappointed with her performance. However, there are a lot of tournaments this season waiting to happen. Therefore, Osaka has plenty of time to return and slay her tennis game like a queen.
