He further echoed his previous statement, saying, “It’s hyperkinetic, and I do films, so it’s great.” Guadagnino has called Challengers his first-ever “a fairly fizzy, sexy” comedy film, and the city of Boston serves as the film’s backdrop. It also features Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist in the lead roles. The movie is set to release on the big screen on August 11, 2023.
