Prakash Amritraj, the former tennis professional, recently joined Kamau Murray on his podcast show. They talked about various topics and experiences they had in their professions, and how Prakash is good friends with Serena and Venus Williams.

Amritraj, who’s now a tennis analyst, got to get close with many famous tennis stars through his work. After briefly talking about his transition from player to analyst, Prakash was asked about his memorable interviews.

He smiled for a while, remembering the incident, and said, “There have been some fun ones, I guess the top two gotta go to are with Venus and Serena.” He then mentioned his personal relationship and friendship with the siblings. Prakash also spoke about the impact of the Serena and Venus Williams’ family.

Prakash Amritraj called himself fortunate enough to get to know the Williams’ family. Though he got to spend comparatively lesser time with Richard Williams, the impact was massive for him.

He said, “You know it’s changed my life like, like knowing them so well and even the philosophy that you know that I preach my whole what’s your code that I go back to colleges and speak out and everything it really so much of it developed from when I really started spending a lot of time with them.

He showed his gratitude by calling the family “like a real blessing in my life.”

Murray and Amritraj discussed the positive competitive nature of the Williams sisters with their opponents. Serena and Venus were unfazed by the opponent’s game and play style and rather focused on their own game.

The main motto behind their success was that opponents don’t control their minds or game. “It’s what I do is going to allow me to win” was their philosophy while entering the match, said Murray.
