‘Queen’ Venus Williams Declares Acting Aspirations as She Converts Fashion Mishap Into an Audition Opportunity for Hit American Historical TV Show

Venus Williams might not have been able to have a great run at the Libema Open. She aced a first-round defeat by 17-year-old Celine Naef. However, that has not plummeted her morale. She is embracing her happy inner self and goofing around with her fans. Apart from her comeback, her hairstyle has garnered the spotlight. However, Williams is making the best use of them to pitch herself for a Bridgeton episode.

The pink curly hairstyle somehow ended up forming a sort of crown on her head which eventually Venus Williams built a story around.

Venus Williams is all geared up for a regency makeover

The seven-time Grand Slam champion has established her legacy on the court. However, now she is hoping to do the same in the entertainment realm. However, it is through an accidental hair mishap that the idea first came up in Venus Williams’ head.After her practice session, her hair got flipped up on her head in a huge crown sort of way. Instead of being embarrassed about it, she pitched herself to be an actress.

She took to her Instagram story and stated, “Another view of how I woke up. I don’t know how this happened.” Showing her hair, she stated, “I just kinda flip my hair, put my hat on. So, when I left this is what happened- a Bridgerton-style bouffant.” With that statement, a new idea came to her head. She uploaded another Instagram story and pitched herself in front of Shondaland, the production house of Bridgerton. She stated, “Shondaland I am ready to be cast in your next episode of Bridgerton. I have no acting skills or abilities but it’s okay.”

However, she did not just bluff about it and came up with the perfect storyline for the show.

The first Victorian athlete 

How would it be to see Venus Williams feature as the first Victorian athlete? The tennis star stated, “So, I could be cast as the first Victorian sort of athlete cuz I can act.”

She knows she can not act, so she found a catch for it. Venus Williams pitched, “So I have to only be able to do scenes that involve some physical labor of some sort. So, I could run, jump, things like that maybe plow.” 

Apart from that, Williams also seems to be taking her defeat not too close to her heart. She enjoyed a soothing cruise on the beautiful canals of the Netherlands with her sister Serena Williams and Kylian Mbappe’s girlfriend.
