Since her unexpected withdrawal from the US Open’s second round, the Kazakh star’s absence has felt like a gaping void in the tennis world. But now, fans are buzzing with hope as Elena hints at a comeback—and cheering her on louder than anyone is her biggest fan and sister, Anna Rybakina.

The Kazhak tennis sensation took to her Instagram and shared a video from the tennis courts as she practiced alongside Simona Halep in Dubai. Elena captioned the post, “Great practice with @simonahalep 💪🏻,” as she can be seen at a good fitness level in the video. This comes just a week ahead of the WTA Finals which the Kazhak star qualified for on October 14. And as her fans and supporters took to the comment section to express their love and support, her sister Anna did not take a backseat either. 

Responding to the post, the elder sister reacted with three emojis and wrote, “🥵😤💪🏻,” signifying her admiration for her sister’s determination to continue and get back stronger. Anna might be a digital developer but her love for the sport comes to the surface time and again – as she is often spotted in her sister’s box during her matches. She also delivers some surprising reactions watching the 25-year-old take charge on the courts. Her affection for her sister, meanwhile, has been often reflected on social media as well. 

When Elena took to the social media platform to share pictures from her outing in Paris after her French Open exit, her sister was quick to shower love. “🥵🐦‍🔥❤️,” she commented. She was also seen watching an intense encounter between Elena Svitolina and Rybakina during the Wimbledon quarterfinals and was seen sharing some adorable reactions. But it’s not just Anna, Elena too never misses a chance to shower love and admiration on her sibling.

The bond between Elena Rybakina and her sister has continued to receive admiration from fans and the community. The star player too, has acknowledged the importance of her sister’s role in her life and has sung praises for her in the past. 

Speaking in an interview ahead of the French Open in 2023, the star player revealed the role her sister plays in her life. “Yeah, I think she’s actually helping a lot because it’s [tennis] still a job. You practice all days, kind of the same routine. With her, if I go back to the room or we go to dinner, we can talk about something else, not only tennis.” In yet another interview, Elena revealed, “She’s very positive. Also, a lot of energy from her. So it’s just nice that we are able to spend time together,” as she spoke about her sister. 

As the bond continues to get stronger, it will be interesting to see if Anna will be present to watch her sister play at the WTA Finals which we are almost certain the Kazhak star won’t miss.
