After dazzling at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Serena Williams gave fans a glimpse of her real priorities—faith and family. Still in her glamorous outfit, she tucked in her eldest daughter, Olympia, and prayed with her before sharing the pictures on Instagram with a heartfelt caption. “I try my best to pray every day with them no matter the circumstances. I slay and I pray,” she wrote. That’s how much family means to the 23-time Grand Slam champion. Williams has proven that she’s not just the GOAT on-court but also the GMOAT off it! At least, that’s what her T-shirt says.
Retirement hasn’t slowed the 43-year-old tennis legend down one bit. While she has taken on new roles as an entrepreneur and investor, being a mom remains her favorite job. Serena Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, are the proud parents of two daughters – Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr, born in September 2017, and Adira River Ohanian, born in August 2023.
Ever since Olympia’s birth, Serena has embraced motherhood with the same passion she brought to tennis. And she is really proud of how she has carried herself as a mother. Earlier today, the former World number 1 posted an Instagram story where she showed off her “Greatest Mother of All Time” T-shirt. And why not? Serena has been a super mom; that has to be a flex.

The American icon’s tennis legacy is unmatched. She won 23 Grand Slam singles titles, spent 319 weeks as World No. 1, and took home four Olympic gold medals—one in singles and three in doubles. Calling her the Greatest of All Time in the history of women’s tennis is hardly an overstatement. But now, Serena has found something even more rewarding.
“As a mom, I’m actually way more active than what I was during tennis,” she told People magazine last year. “Obviously, (with) tennis, I was playing Wimbledons and stuff. But, as a mom, I’m gone all day.” The competitive spirit that made her a champion still shines through. “I’m really competitive about it, too,” she added. “I sign my name up whenever I can, whenever there’s a spot open.”
From dominating the tennis courts to managing playdates, Serena brings the same energy to everything she does.

“Oh! Back when Adira was newly born, Serena often felt ‘mom guilt’ whenever she was not around her daughters. In an interview with Insider, she said, “Mum guilt is real. I always feel so guilty when I’m doing something on my own. I don’t know if my method works, but I’m very hands-on with my daughter. I’ve set really good boundaries. But then after work, I’m going right to my daughter.”
And the strong desire to spend quality time with her daughters is still there for Serena. She’s so passionate that she even misses them when they are asleep. Adorable right?
