American tennis player Kristie Ahn has been a prominent player on the Tour. She had a bright career when she was competing on the ITF circuit. She began her career quite early, as she was only 16 years of age when she made her first Grand Slam appearance.

Not long ago, Kristie made a sad announcement. She revealed that she would be ending her career. Ahn was big enough to accept that it’s not always that people would receive a fairytale farewell like the one Andre Agassi did.

Kristie Ahn was sad that she was unable to have a farewell on US soil

The only regret she has is that she could not play the last tournament at the US Open or on American soil. Overall, she has had a fruitful career and was happy with her contributions to the Asian-American community.

Speaking on this subject, Kristie stated, “It is probably one of the most polarizing feelings to announce that I’m stepping away from the court. This chapter of my life has had twists and turns reminiscent of a drama that has finally to an end lol.”

“Honestly, I’m still devastated that my last match was at US Open not playing in front of you guys. I really wanted to qualify to have one last chance to say thank you and goodbye properly,” she added.
