The Simpsons has been one of the most renowned television series of all time; the show recently celebrated 32 years since its first episode aired in 1989. Besides its satirical humor and eerily accurate predictions of the future, the show is known for incorporating the most popular elements of its time in its episodes. In 2001, when the Williams sisters were taking the world by storm, Serena and Venus Williams featured in an episode of The Simpsons.

The Williams sisters still uncertain about their comeback

Both Venus and Serena Williams have currently taken a sabbatical from professional tennis. The 23-time Grand Slam winner, Serena Williams, suffered a major setback at Wimbledon 2021. The American was forced to retire due to a hamstring injury. Since then, she hasn’t played on the WTA tour.
