Happy Wimbledon Day to all the tennis fans around the globe! We are about to witness some of the finest players in action in the upcoming fortnight. The courts of SW19 are ready, and so are the players. Among all the players, all fans are looking forward to watching a certain tennis icon at this year’s Wimbledon. At 43 years of age, the legend is set to make her 24th Wimbledon appearance!
Venus Williams, the former world number 1 has tasted success at Wimbledon on 11 different occasions, five times in singles and six times in doubles with her sister Serena Williams. The two sisters have dominated these courts like no other and their ‘love affair’ with Wimbledon continues. They took it to Instagram to express their love for the Championship as well as each other.

On the eve of Wimbledon, Venus Williams posed in front of the Championship logo and posted a picture with a caption that read, “The love affair continues, @Wimbledon starts tomorrow.” The fans were overjoyed with the picture as Queen Vee looks all set to start her campaign on Monday. Among all the fan replies, there was a standout one from Venus’ biggest admirer.

The admirer in question is none other than her sister Serena Williams. She replied saying “You look amazing” to her sister. It was one of those Williams sisters moments and they have had plenty of those on and off-court. Their love and admiration for each other goes beyond any rivalry or record. However, there was this one time when things got heated between the sisters.
When Venus and Serena Williams engaged in a brutal practice session
Recently, Rick Macci, the childhood coach of the sisters revealed one of their past incidents. He said that their bond was like no other but when they locked horns in practice, they played each other like the fiercest rivals. He referred back to their early days in Compton when the sisters were still budding as tennis players.

Macci’s words displayed the competitive nature of the sisters and they have been so since their early days. The perfect mix of fighting spirit and affection possessed by Venus and Serena Williams is rare.
