Serena Williams tied the knot with her husband Alexis Ohanian in November 2017. It’s been close to six years since their wedding, and the couple happens to be one of the most-renowned power couples in the world. Ohanian has always seen Serena as the fighter woman she is, especially on their wedding day.

At the wedding, Serena donned a ball gown-style dress. But she made it pretty clear that she wanted to wear a cape. So along with her gown-style dress, she put on embellished cape jewelry by XIV Karats, totaling $3.5 million in value, as she made her way down the aisle at the Contemporary Arts Centre in New Orleans.

The cape and the gown combo gave Serena Williams an iconic look. She personified every element of a superwoman with that attire. Her wish came true as the entire world recognized her as a superwoman outside the court. However, Serena’s love for capes is not news to anyone.

Serena only loves capes and Olympia

Last year, Serena’s clothing line S by Serena launched its Nova Cape Dress. The 23-time major champion herself featured on the shoot with her daughter Olympia. In the caption, she wrote, “To know me is to know I love @olympiaohanian and capes.” The Nova Cape dresses were an instant hit, and the marketing was a success, too.
