Ohanian had once appreciated the founder of SpaceX during one of his appearances on a show. The richest man on the planet now runs one of the most significant social media networks. Musk successfully acquired Twitter for a staggering amount of $44 billion.

After a protracted legal battle and several months of ambiguity, Elon Musk has taken over Twitter. What the billionaire Tesla CEO will do with the social media platform is the question that now needs to be answered. Ohanian thinks Musk can influence Twitter by using his current position.

Ohanian believes that Musk will increase Twitter’s long-term success. At an exclusive TV appearance the internet entrepreneur shared his views and appreciation for Elon Musk. He was quoted, “Running a company like Twitter, a community built platform is very different from a company following laws of physics. Physics is rational, humans are not. But I like the fact that he is moving away from advertising and moving towards membership…”

After Musk’s deal to buy Twitter went through, Ohanian took to Twitter and posted a video of his TV appearance. He captioned the post, “Throwback to May when there was a lot of Twitter speculation… I told @andrewsorkin I wouldn’t bet against @elonmusk”.
