Paula Badosa and Aryna Sabalenka have now managed to take their friendships to a completely different level. Be it on the court, or off the court, they’re always seen showing their love and support for each other. Perhaps, that’s why they love to call each other “soulmates“. Recently, Badosa was spotted dropping a heartfelt reaction to one of Aryna Sabalenka’s IG posts. 

After spending some beautiful moments in Paris, Aryna Sabalenka and her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, were spotted attending the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Sabalenka has now become a frequent fixture on the F1 grid. In May, this year, she was also spotted at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix! How much does she enjoy attending these racing events? Well, recently, she was also spotted dancing to “The Ketchup Song” next to F1’s Alpine Racing Team while wearing a pink racing suit and helmet. In a heartwarming moment, her boyfriend was also spotted helping her put on her helmet by gently adjusting it over her ponytail. 

Both of them were seen having quite a lot of fun during their recent trip to the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Aryna Sabalenka shared a few glimpses of those moments on her IG account with the caption, “Race day date 🏎️♥️ @georgiosfrangulis.” We saw her “soulmate,” Paula Badosa dropping in a heartfelt reaction to that post. Badosa commented, “Cuties🫶.” Interestingly, during the festivities, these two tennis stars showcased their allegiance to different F1 teams.

Aryna Sabalenka proudly represented the Alpine F1 team, showcasing their gear while posing for pictures in their garage. On the other hand, Paula Badosa was seen passionately cheering for the Aston Martin F1 team. Were they the only ones from the tennis world who enlightened up this mega racing event? The answer to this is, no! Men’s world number one, Jannik Sinner was also spotted at the same venue. Not only that, even Elena Rybakina and Grigor Dimitrov attended this event in Abu Dhabi.

Paula Badosa who visited with the Spanish driver, Fernando Alonso on the Aston Martin team, shared a glimpse of her memorable trip on her IG account with the caption, “Thrills, speed, and the roar of engines–F1, you’ve got my heart!” Was it the first time though, seeing Paula Badosa dropping a heartfelt reaction featuring Aryna Sabalenka and her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis? Not really! In May this year, Aryna Sabalenka shared pictures of herself and Frangulis walking under an umbrella.

Sabalenka shared a few pictures on social media with the caption, “What my days off the court have been looking like recently 😉 🫶.” Even that time, we saw Paula Badosa dropping a comment under that post. She wrote, “Thanks for listening to me… 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️” and ” Soooooooo f**** beautiful! 🔥.” Paula Badosa is often seen talking about their “similar personalities” and even Aryna Sabalenka often reflects her love for the Spaniard.

Both these ‘soulmates’ met each other in the R32 of the 2024 French Open. In that match, Aryna Sabalenka defeated Paula Badosa by 7-5,6-1. Shortly, after finishing this match, we saw Sabalenka lauding her best friend and backing her for making a strong comeback. She said, “It’s tough to play your best friend. She’s an incredible player coming back after injury. She’s going to be back at the top very soon.” Guess what happened after that? 

Paula Badosa overcame all the hurdles and made a strong comeback at the grass-court swing. She reached the QF in Bad Homburg and then she also made it to the last 16 in Wimbledon. After that, she had a stellar outing on the hard-court swing. Paula Badosa won the Citi Open and made it to the SF in Cincinnati, Beijing, and Ningbo. She even reached the QF of the 2024 US Open! The player who was ranked 140th in the on May 20, ended the season in the 12th spot.

Due to her incredible comeback after staying out of action for quite a while in the 2023 season, the WTA recently gave her the ‘Comeback Player of the Year Award.’ She overshadowed the likes of Naomi Osaka, Amanda Anisimova, Karolina Muchova, and Emma Raducanu who were also in contention to win this Award. Paula Badosa even gave a heartfelt reaction to this incredible achievement through one of her social media posts. However, not only Badosa, but even her soulmate, Aryna Sabalenka won the WTA Player of the Year Award on the same night. What a moment for these two WTA stars!
