Paula Badosa, while speaking about her friend, recalled on the Tennis Channel Inside-In Podcast, “It was a few years ago, we played an exhibition. And we started to chat. And we realized that we were very, we had very similar personalities and we get along very well, and that we’re both very, very competitive, but at the same time, we know how to separate things, you know .”

Aryna Sabalenka has previously commented on her special bond with Paula Badosa, saying that she is her “soulmate.” Reflecting on the beautiful bond that they both share, Badosa also said, “So it’s very nice for me having a friend on there, because it’s very tough to find. So I think we, we respect each other a lot. And we appreciate each other. So for me, I can call her a friend. And that’s, yeah, something beautiful.”
