The 2025 Australian Open was a testimony of the continued rise of Paula Badosa. The Spanish star had battled injuries a couple of seasons ago and came back stronger than ever before to reach the semifinals of the Grand Slam Down Under. Despite losing to World Number 1, Aryna Sabalenka, Badosa gave a good glimpse of her improving form over the past few months. Additionally, her semifinal appearance also enabled Badosa to achieve a fresh milestone to which she had a wonderful reaction.

The Spaniard gained 650 ranking points which resulted in her big rise in the latest WTA rankings. Badosa entered the top 10 of the WTA rankings and is currently placed in the 10th position. Once ranked as high as Number 2, it was a perfect reward for Badosa as she seemed to regain the consistency that she had been missing for a long time.

While Badosa gave it her all in the tournament, it was an exhausting event for Badosa. Having defeated the likes of Coco Gauff is no mean feat and the 27-year-old had to dig deep to prevail in those contests. As a result, she deserved a much-needed break after the tournament and flew back to Dubai to enjoy a beach outing with her friends. As she recharged before the next tournament, Badosa’s boyfriend, Stefanos Tsitsipas, cheekily reacted, commenting, “Renewable energy.”

Further, Badosa had an emotional note to share after her Australian Open exit. Reacting to it, Tsitsipas had a touching message for his girlfriend.
