“Never give up on your dream” – Aryna Sabalenka‘s secret to her recent success. She has made a lot of hard work and sacrifices to witness this historic day along with her closed ones. Sabalenka has tactically and psychologically changed a lot since last year’s disappointing loss against Coco Gauff in the US Open final. We saw her getting hit by a flood of emotions after this emphatic triumph. The Belarusian superstar thanked her family members and team time and again for their constant support. Her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis and her ‘soulmate’ Paula Badosa were also spotted enjoying every moment of this title triumph in NY.
Recently, Sabalenka shared a post on her Instagram account where she revealed how she managed to stay on track at the 2024 US Open despite being in a sea of upsets. “The main thing to stay mentally healthy is to be surrounded by the right people. When you feel all the support, when you feel that your back is covered, that’s the main thing. And, you know that whatever happens in your life, you have people who are gonna support you. Try to enjoy, enjoy the journey, and work hard on the court. You fight for it to balance this,” said Sabalenka.
She has now won two major titles in the 2024 season and without the contact support of her team, this journey wouldn’t have been easy for her. Speaking on the contributions of her teammates she said, “I’ve my crazy team, we have so much fun together. Just trying to be me off-court, you know not to be too serious. You definitely have to be focused on tennis but at the same time you have to have fun as well somehow.” Aryna Sabalenka is happy that she can now separate her tennis life from her personal life. However, at the same time, she admitted it wouldn’t have been possible without those people who were always around him. Paula Badosa commented with ‘heart’ emojis in this post and Frangulis wrote, “Now that’s a team.”

However, this isn’t the first time that we’ve seen these two congratulating Sabalenka for her incredible run at the US Open. Previously after her win in the QF match, her proud boyfriend congratulated her by saying, “Cheers to this Maestra of the Dobel Family…” Even after the finals, we saw him congratulate her for this massive feat. Paul Badosa wrote, “Crazy achievement! You are such a strong woman! I’m really happy for you! You inspire so many people.” She even hilariously asked her to leave something for the rest too! In reply, Sabalenka thanked her and assured her that she even has a special exemption for her ‘soulmate’.

We have heard a famous saying that rubbing a bald head can bring good fortune. Is it true? We don’t know, but putting an autograph on the bald head really brought fortune to Aryna Sabalenka in Melbourne earlier this year. She was seen conducting a pre-match ritual of giving an autograph on Jason Stacy’s bald head during the 2024 AO. Even here in NY, we saw a temporary ‘Tiger’ tattoo on Stacy’s head. Sabalenka also has a similar ‘Tiger’ tattoo on her hand. These are some of the funny moments which we’ve seen between these two, but how important it’s to have this kind of atmosphere inside the time where each and everyone enjoys each other’s company?
According to Stacy, “I think it’s crucial. It’s an important key element to any performance, to development. As you guys know, it’s all year nonstop, just pressure, pressure, pressure, attention, attention, trying to get better, trying to get better.” He further stressed the fact that how they always try to bring the right balance of fun and discipline throughout the season. Jason Stacy strongly believes that these types of funny moments allow Aryna Sabalenka to have a good balance of emotional control throughout the hectic schedules in the professional tennis world.
