Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian is a graduate of the University of Virginia, and last year, he gave a commencement speech to the class of 21. Interestingly, it was over a zoom call, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Ohanian brought along a special guest during his speech and it was his four-year-old daughter Olympia. Together, they had plenty of fun, as Ohanian taught his daughter a special chant.

Alexis Ohanian feels proud of daughter Olympia

Earlier, Ohanian took to Instagram and posted a story, where he was talking to some of the students via Zoom at the University of Virginia. In the story, he wrote, I was grateful to give the @uva class of 2021 commencement speech and WISH I could’ve done it IRL but this was my favorite part (made possible bc of COVID).

In the video, we can see Ohanian complimenting his daughter for wearing a nice dress. He said, Olympia, thank you for dressing up for this. You look really nice.”

Later, Ohanian tried to explain to his daughter about his former University, as he said, So all the people papa’s talking to went to this university, the University of Virginia, the best university. One of the things that we say at UVA is ‘Wahoo wah’.

Then, Olympia tried to emulate the sound but failed adorably, so he helped his daughter to try again. This time, Olympia called the chant with perfection and Ohanian said, Papa’s so proud of you.”

At the end of the video, Ohanian wished them the best and thanked everyone who helped him to do this commencement speech.

Meanwhile, Olympia’s mother and one of the greatest tennis players of all time, Serena Williams is gearing up for the US Open, where she will be vying for her 24th Grand Slam title. Recently, she posted a video on her Instagram account, where she was seen training hard.

Earlier, Serena announced her participation at the Rogers Cup, followed by the Cincinnati Open. Safe to say, she will have a good amount of matches under her belt before heading into the US Open, which will start on August 29.
