Apart from being the co-founder of Reddit and co-owner of Angel City FC, Serena Williams‘ husband Alexis Ohanian has a different level of dedication when it comes to his daughters. As he delves deeper into his life’s details in his podcast, Ohanian shows how his improved responsibility towards his daughters is “a liberating thing” for him.

Alexis Ohanian shared an interesting fact about his fatherhood journey in his podcast Business Dad with comedian Roy Wood Jr. Revealing his life before Olympia and Adira, Ohanian expressed how he had no objective but to solely take care of his needs. “I can’t tell you how many decisions I made in my 20s and my 30s pre-fatherhood that were so selfish and it was so geared around I gotta look out for me this is it and like yeah I might be with someone whatever but I’m still at the end of the day it’s still me above all”- said Ohanian.

However, this Reddit co-founder further mentioned that his daughter’s birth brought a lot of emotional changes in him. He started to think for his family afterward, prioritizing their well-being. “It’s a liberating thing to now know actually not that important Alexis and these humans like this is your charge, this is your responsibility now, this is your legacy and all the other shit doesn’t actually matter. There’s two humans now whose opinion I really care about and they’re my kids”- the Reddit co-founder explained.

Now, Serena Williams’ businessman husband clearly prioritizes his family above everything. In his podcast two days back, Ohanian delighted the fraternity’s heart with an inspiring fatherhood goal. He mentioned that the “greatest thing”  he could ever do for his daughters was “show up for” them. Ohanian then revealed that one of his life’s biggest goals is to make Olympia realize that “Papa loves her and is always going to be there for her.”

Ohanian’s statements showcase his immense love for his kids. Previously, he tweeted explaining how successful CEOs around the world regret not having to spend enough time with their kids for career-building. “Do you know the ONE thing I keep hearing from the most successful CEOs? ‘I wish I’d spent more time with my kids”- Ohanian tweeted. This tweet showed fans that despite a net worth of $150 billion, Ohanian’s source of energy lies in the happiness of his daughters. This Reddit co-founder’s recent tweet post-work trip helped fans to see how he never misses out on special moments with his daughters despite his hectic schedule.

In an interview with ABC News in 2018, Ohanian said- “I struggle to put family first. I aspire, I really do, but I feel guilty even saying that I achieve it, I have learned a lot from my wife who is also very career-driven, we both have to make an effort when we are spending time with our kid and one another to really be present in that moment.”

Serena Williams’ businessman husband proves that one doesn’t need to choose between family and career if they have the right intentions.
