Ons Jabeur is a fighter and she will continue to fight for her dreams with her enchanting smile till the last! Despite reaching the Wimbledon finals twice, Jabeur couldn’t make it to the trophy, shattering her dreams to take a break and plan for her family. As the Tunisian gears up for Britain’s grass court again, she offers a brilliant motivation to her peers saying how she sees her comebacks “as being a strong woman more than anything else.”

Ons Jabeur expressed a sense of hope and motivation ahead of her participation in the upcoming Wimbledon tournament. Speaking about whether she is ready to encounter a third loss at the Wimbledon finals, Jabeur said, “Everybody would say yes, And I did ask some players, just to remember how to be grateful. That’s very important in life, in general, to be grateful for what you did. Some players didn’t even [do what I’ve done].”

This Tunisian WTA star has been planning for a baby and was ready to embark on that chapter if she had won the Wimbledon tournament last year. However, her dream was shattered for the second time when Czech Republic WTA player Marketa Vondrousova defeated Jabeur by 6-4 and 6-4. Jabeur who previously lost the Wimbledon 2022 finals to Elena Rybakina by 6-3, 2-6, and 2-6. Following Jabeur’s second loss at the British Grand Slam tour disappointed her. Now if you are a Jabeur fan, you must know that she wanted to take a break for her family planning only if she could win a Grand Slam.

However, Jabeur is unbothered by winning Grand Slams this time. “If I arrive again to the final and I fail again and I stand up again and go back again to another final, I see that as being a strong woman more than anything else,” she said.

In an interview with Borja Duran, this Tunisian WTA star said- “It wasn’t actually linked, you know, Grand Slam and having a baby. But you know, I am 29 years old. My goal is to have a baby at comeback, it’s the right time to do it. And I feel like I am honestly playing great tennis, so if I stopped, I am not sure how I am gonna come back, it’s now or never to win Grand Slam. So, I thought going to the final, and if I can win, I can rest a bit even my body is little bit exhausted from playing the tournaments.”

Nevertheless, Ons Jabeur’s positivity assured the fraternity that she was not ready to let any disappointment win over her hard work. Following this Tunisian’s great record, given she has made it to the quarterfinals of her last five tours including Roland Garros and Madrid, the fraternity believes that Jabeur might return from Britain’s grass court with a big smile this time.

Despite doing great on the grass court, Jabeur expresses her delight in doing better on the clay court. She felt her improvement on the clay surface helped her performance on grass.

I always say the more matches I play on clay, the more physically better [I am] and easier the grass season is for me because the toughest surface to play on in tennis is clay because you have to be physically ready. But definitely, [Roland Garros] gave me a lot of confidence and made me understand a lot of things,” said Jabeur.
