Naomi Osaka may be only 24-years-old, but the Japanese tennis star is already amongst the elite players on the WTA circuit currently. She caught everyone’s eyes when she defeated Serena Williams in the summit clash of the 2018 US Open. It was her first Grand Slam title. Since then, she has gone on to add three more major titles, to take her tally to four Grand Slam titles.

Osaka is the highest-paid women’s tennis player, leaving behind the likes of Serena Williams and Ashleigh Barty. Recently, she announced her in-game skins in Fortnite.

Naomi Osaka expresses her feelings on Fortnite collaboration with her sister

The Japanese tennis star was ecstatic after her in-game skins in Fortnite will be launched tomorrow. Expressing her happiness, she took to Instagram and said, “I just wanna say thank you to everyone on all the love and support for this.”

Further, she added, “Everyone that knows me knows that I play video games with my sis+friends for hours whenever I have free time, so to have a skin in Fortnite and to have my sister design it…easily one of the biggest things I’ve ever had the honor of doing, wow what a dream.”

The 24-year-old announced the news of her Fortnite collaboration in a series of Instagram posts and stories.

Further, on the tennis front, Osaka has had a disappointing start to this season. She withdrew from the semifinals of the Melbourne Summer Set 1 after suffering an abdominal injury. At the Australian Open 2022, Osaka suffered a shock third-round loss to Amanda Anisimova of the USA. Her barren run has significantly affected her WTA rankings, dropping to Number 80 in the world.
